Bob

Bob is a family practice doctor with a master’s degree in public health. He graduated from Earlham College in 1977, received his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1981 then completed a 3-year Family Practice residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.

Together with his wife, Hope, Bob is currently serving as a medical missionary with SIM in Kenya, where he is on the Family Medicine faculty at AIC Kijabe Hospital. In addition he is helping to develop the 'HOPE for AIDS - Kenya' strategic plan, is serving SIM Kenya as the head of its "Medical and HIV/AIDS" ministry team, is on the steering committee for the Churches AIDS Network of Kenya and chairs the Clinical and Standards Committee for the governing board of Kaimosi Hospital in Western Kenya. Kaimosi was the mother hospital for Lugulu Hospital where he and Hope served for 6 and a half years starting in 1985.

When he is not engaged in meetings, training programs or drafting documents he enjoys playing his violin or fiddling just for fun.
